"Short review - clean room, good breakfast, interesting hotel with fun atmosphere, family friendly, NOT friendly for wheelchairs and walkers due to badly wrinkled carpet in halls - BIG TRIPPING HAZARD.
This is a "unique" hotel. It has a very interesting atmosphere and I would consider very family friendly. I would give this hotel a 5 star, but it's still being renovated. It's large, has an indoor pool, mini golf, playground, fountain with koi, and attached restaurant. The room was clean and mostly renovated. The only thing I disliked was the entry doors into the rooms. They are retrofitted and it is noticeable; the entrance wall to the interior is made of three glass paned doors which have wood shutters on the inside of the room. The other thing that is important to know for the elderly or those using wheelchairs or walkers, the carpet in the halls is pretty bad - it is not stretched properly in several sections and is a tripping hazard. The carpet also didn't appear to be vacuumed often, and lots of dirt and debris were in corners and along the walls.
I think this hotel will be absolutely amazing upon completion of the renovation. I stayed alone and felt safe which was the most important thing to me. I did not eat at the restaurant but have been told by friends that it is really good food. It has a decent free breakfast and the option for a cooked hot breakfast for a fee."
